In the Company of Men: The Embodied Masculine, a 5Rhythms® Workshop
June 24–26, 2022

What does it mean to be Embodied as a Man?

Join fellow men on a hero’s journey as we explore what it means to be a man in this modern world. Defining masculinity and questioning how we as men ‘walk our talk’ is a powerful proposition that calls us together as a group to explore with courage, integrity and receptivity.

During this impactful weekend through movement, group shares, and sensory awareness, we will explore our edges, move with intention, and explore our vulnerability in the strength and company of men.

Using the tools of the 5Rhythms® movement practice we ground our emotional presence, create non-judgment and supportive witnessing, and come together in a safe space to help heal mind, body, and spirit.

The 5Rhythms® is a dynamic movement meditation practice founded at the Esalen Institute by Gabriele Roth that explores how energy, emotion, and spirit move through the body.

Guest faculty Nick Ayers will provide a musical soundscape to support the transformational experience. A musician and dancer for over 20 years, Nick has seen the immediate effect of music on people physically, psychologically, and emotionally. He is a constant student of global music and culture who understands that music is one common language shared between all humans. Nick studied sound healing at the Globe Institute in San Francisco with qualifications in sound engineering and audio production from the Recording Workshop.
