Esalen is a not-for-profit holistic educational center offering wild comfort and space for emergent transformation and internal exploration that has been in operation since 1962. Anchored by the inspiring beauty of Big Sur and an incomparable intellectual history, we are always negotiating nuance, tangling with complexity, and sitting inside contradiction. All the while, we embrace the messy, imperfect practice of moving toward our highest humanity.
Come celebrate summer at Esalen and immerse in the power of movement, community, music, and the glory of this land and her three waters. Led by Janet Stone accompanied by special guests MC Yogi, Marti Bradley, DJ Drez, Amanda, Sita Devi and more, you will be welcomed to a journey rich with connection and the opportunity to reset.
Join Xochitl (So-chil) Ashe for a week of ceremony with the Earth wisdom teachings from Mesoamerica and Peru as we reconnect, heal, and nourish our hearts. Together we will work with our ancestors to build our spiritual support team and partake in plant medicine ceremonies with Cacao. We will learn various daily spiritual practices that include offerings to the land that help you create and connect to the magic in you and your life.
Creativity, innovation, and high performance depend on a willingness to take risks, express new ideas, fail, and ask for help. Trust and respect among team members is fundamental to these behaviors, and the ability of a leader to create an atmosphere of psychological safety is key. Through the application of cutting-edge theory, case studies, and experiential learning, this week-long journey with George Kohlrieser will help you explore the roots of your leadership and your leadership talents.
At the baths, have you ever thought…I wish I could bottle this up? Our newest addition to the Esalen store taps you into a bit of healing at home. Learn about the Bathing & Spa collection inspired by local woods, meadows, and historical bathing rituals.
All purchases made at the Esalen Store, both in person and online, go directly to support Esalen programs and the land. Thank you for giving back to our community!

The first installment of our new, free quarterly digital summit, The Way Forward: How To Stay Inspired, Reintegrate, and Find Hope in the Shadow of the Pandemic will explore the concept of collective trauma, how it both unifies and divides us, and most importantly, how we can face it together to heal on a local and national level. Offered for a sliding scale contribution, the two-day program includes multiple tracks to dig into, from interviews with incredible thought leaders and activists to a session on prolonged somatic grief processing through dance and movement. Each interview will be followed by a live Q&A with the speaker, and every attendee is welcome to join in connecting with our luminaries. In true Esalen style, we will open the event on Saturday and close it on Sunday with a group awareness practice.
