Esalen News May 2022
After 60 years, you’d be hard pressed to find two people who describe 55000 Highway 1 the same. While my Esalen may not be exactly your Esalen, there are some uniquely special feelings we unleash and that embrace us during our collective Esalen experience. We are curious about your personal experiences as we kick off a #myEsalen campaign…what does #myEsalen mean to you?
May 10 marked our foray into the interactive digital web space. Pioneered by Board of Trustees member and workshop leader, Justin Michael Williams, we produced our first free webinar. Tap into Your Unshakeable Trust was a 45-minute alchemical journey of myth, meditation, and yoga led by yogi and storyteller Sianna Sherman with the ethereal Masood Ali Khan on vocals and the hand pan.
The global pandemic and Mother Nature tested the resilience of everyone these past few years. Fortunately, we are 60 years strong and committed to another 60 years. Especially after being shut down from landslides, fires, and COVID-19, we recognize that Esalen is more than the land...more than the physical space itself. The idea, the feeling, the essence of Esalen transcends place because we are a community.
To better serve you, and all in our community who may not be able to physically visit us in Big Sur, our digital hybrid workshops are designed as a way to foster connection and make transformational teachings available no matter where you reside.
Next up, June 10–12 is our pilot digital hybrid workshop, Phoenix Rising. This weekend journey led by Sianna Sherman with Masood Ali Khan on vocals and hand pan embodies an alchemical yoga practice that awakens your power.
If a weekend or a week workshop isn’t enough, imagine if you could stay longer and press pause on your everyday life? Dedicate four weeks to explore yourself and life in one of our Live Extended Education Programs. If you’re ready to take the LEEP, we’re accepting applications for these exciting programs.
