Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.
Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.

For more than a decade, she has worked with diverse groups in Israel/Palestine and internationally, facilitating processes that cultivate deep listening, empathy, and connection across cultural, political, and religious divides. Her work integrates Nonviolent Communication, mindfulness, meditation, and trauma-sensitive facilitation to support personal and collective healing.
Nadya is also an educator in environmental awareness and permaculture, and facilitates listening circles and contemplative practices that invite presence, compassion, and authentic dialogue. She is trained in healing modalities, including Reiki, and brings a holistic, heart-centered approach to group work.
Fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, English, Spanish, and Catalan, Nadya bridges languages, cultures, and lived experiences, creating spaces where people can meet one another with courage, humanity, and care.
