Deva Munay, founder of Sacred Sound & Wonder, brings over 25 years of experience in health, wellness, and the healing arts. Her journey began in 1996 with a pilgrimage to Thailand, Nepal, and India, where she immersed herself in the Dalai Lama’s teachings on mindfulness and meditation. This pivotal experience ignited her passion for sound healing and global wisdom traditions, leading her to study in Peru, Egypt, Central America, Bali, Argentina, Europe, and beyond.

Deva guides others into deeply restorative and meditative states through the transformative power of sound. She curates immersive sound journeys using alchemy crystal singing bowls, vocal guidance, and traditional instruments. In addition to performing with musicians, she facilitates workshops, retreats, online immersions, and personalized programs designed to awaken inner harmony and healing.

She co-produced and performed on the albums Overlapping Halos: The Poetry of Hafiz (with Edwin Huizinga and Penny Vieregge) and Dawn to Dreams with Grammy-nominated composer Peter Gordon.

Deva holds an Occupational Studies degree in Sound Healing and Therapy, a BA in Biology, Cultural Anthropology, and Art, and advanced certifications in yoga and massage. She lives in Big Sur, where her oceanview studio offers a sanctuary for sacred sound. Her mission is to awaken wonder and support transformation through sound, presence, and movement.
