Ramesh Srinivasan is a professor in the Information Studies and Design|Media Arts departments at UCLA. He’s the founder of the university-wide Digital Cultures Lab, which explores the meaning of technology, author of Beyond the Valley – How Innovators around the World Are Overcoming Inequality and Creating the Technologies of Tomorrow, Whose Global Village? Rethinking How Technology Impacts Our World, and co-author of After the Internet. He has held fellowships at MIT Media Lab and has been a teaching fellow at the Graduate School of Design and Department of Visual and Environmental Design at Harvard University. He writes regularly about issues associated with AI and ethics, is a regular speaker for TEDx Talks, and makes appearances in the national media.
