Peter Rader

Peter Rader, Paola di Florio's husband and business partner in their award-winning production company, Counterpoint Films, has worked as a film and television writer for 30 years. Since his first script, Waterworld, was produced by Universal in 1995, he’s developed numerous projects for Hollywood studios and industry leaders such as Steven Spielberg, John Davis and Dino De Laurentiis.

An acclaimed author, Rader’s first book, Mike Wallace: A Life, was a biography of the legendary CBS journalist, which Rader subsequently adapted into a script for director Rob Reiner. Most recently, Rader wrote Playing to the Gods: Sarah Bernhardt, Eleonora Duse, and the Rivalry That Changed Acting Forever, which is being adapted for the screen and produced by Golden Globe winners Michael Sucsy (Grey Gardens), Shannon McIntosh (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Oscar-nominee Brunson Green (The Help).

Rader has taught writing and creativity workshops and guest-lectured at USC, Los Angeles Film School, Cal State Fullerton, Step Up on Second (a homeless shelter) and at his alma mater, Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is accomplished in a broad range of fields, including music and photography.

Peter and Paola have been on numerous pilgrimages to India, both with and without their two sons, Matteo and Luca.
