Esalen opens May 3, 2024

Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.

Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.

Paula Wild has been offering trauma-informed yoga workshops from a perspective of accessibility and inclusion for over a decade. She holds over 1,000 hours of yoga teacher training certifications and became a certified Yoga Therapist in 2015.

Paula’s passion and expertise lies in offering yoga and mindfulness practices in the outdoors with a focus on our deep connection to nature and the Five Elements. Her intention is to provide opportunities for more people to explore and enjoy the wild world within, AND around us. She believes that the tools yoga and time in nature offer are the most effective ways to connect with our own inner wisdom and expand our potential in the world.
