Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.
Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.
Odeya Nini is an interdisciplinary vocalist, composer, sound healing practitioner, and transformative facilitator whose work bridges the worlds of somatic practice, experimental sound, and vocal liberation. With a background in jazz vocals, classical composition, yoga training and a deep commitment to embodied inquiry, she guides participants into an intimate relationship with their voice — as a portal to presence, power, and possibility. Through her acclaimed Free the Voice method, Odeya has worked with people across continents, helping them shed inhibition, dissolve blocks, and access the raw, authentic sound that lives within. Her approach transcends technique; it is a path of reclamation, where voice becomes vibration, memory, medicine, and movement. A sought-after teacher and performer, Odeya creates immersive sonic landscapes and containers of deep listening, where resonance becomes a language for what words cannot touch.
