Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.
Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.
Marianne trained with Stanislav Grof during the 1990s, is a certified Grof® Breathwork facilitator, and, over the past 25 years, has facilitated workshops in the US, UK, Europe, and Kenya, as well as a facilitator training in India. Marianne holds master’s degrees in transpersonal psychology and contemplative psychotherapy, as well as a PhD in transformative learning and change in human systems from CIIS.
Marianne is an International Teacher with Grof® Legacy Training and developed the curriculum for Grof® Legacy Training USA, where she is a senior faculty member. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Grof® Legacy Project.
In addition to her work with Grof® Breathwork, Marianne is a senior faculty member with the Academy for the Love of Learning in Santa Fe, NM, developing curricula for experience-based practices and programs in service of transformational learning.
