Esalen opens May 3, 2024

Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.

Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.

Kelly Boys

Kelly Boys is the author of The Blind Spot Effect: How to Stop Missing What's Right in Front of You. She has designed and delivered mindfulness and resilience programs for and at the United Nations, Google, and San Quentin State Prison. She specializes in mindfulness-based yoga nidra meditation and is passionate about the intersection of spiritual awakening and applied mindfulness. She loves teaching NSDR (non- sleep deep rest) practices for rest, healing, and transformation. Kelly is a director at the Foundation for Mindful Society and also coaches people on their blind spots. Her meditations are featured on the Oura Ring and elsewhere.
