Dave Morin

American entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist.

He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Offline Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture studio focused on inventing and investing in technology in harmony with humanity.

He is Chairman of Esalen Institute, the leading center for exploring and realizing human potential through experience, education, and research.

He is also Co-Founder of Sunrise Foundation with the mission to reduce suffering and understand the brain by translating science into better mental health.

Previously, he was Co-Founder & General Partner at Slow Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley venture fund that champions long term thinking and innovation. Slow serves a community of over 300 of the most innovative startups in the world managing over $1B in capital.

He was Co-Founder and was CEO of the personal social network Path with the mission of being a source of happiness, meaning, and connection through simplicity, quality, and privacy in social networking technology and design. Path was acquired in 2015.

He served on the Board of Eventbrite through IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, Dwell through merger with Recurrent, Hinge through merger with IAC, the United States Ski Team through two Olympic Games, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art through the three-year Snohetta expansion.

Dave has had a lifelong passion for technology, entrepreneurship, culture, design, photography, nature, skiing, and improving society. He served both Apple and Facebook for several years during periods of rapid innovation and growth. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

He grew up under the big sky of Montana where he was ranked as one of the top downhill ski racers in America. Today, he lives and works in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Brit and their three children.
