Whether you choose to be single or in a relationship, you need strong skills for relating and communicating with others. Along the way in your personal development, you formed inner working models that influence your emotions, body reactions, thinking, behavior, and beliefs. We call them Personality Reactions Patterns™. They fulfilled an important need in your early development, but often are not adequate any more for who you are today. You may, however, find yourself still perpetuating some of these protective attitudes and attachment issues in your present adult life and relationships, which may prevent you from creating and leading a life you envision and desire.
By experiencing and observing body reactions, understanding your underlying needs, and learning how to address and nourish them, you can successfully change these patterns. That is the goal for this month-long course. To this end, the group will explore the following questions:
• How do you approach or avoid open communication and intimacy?
• How can the energy of anger or resentment become a resource for transformation?
• How can you nourish love and commitment, and at the same time also nourish your personal freedom?
We will also look at attachment styles and how they influence the way you relate, live, and love. These explorations and insights can lead to more clarity and integration, including ways to stay present and mindful in difficult moments; how to observe the body, listen to the unconscious, and learn interventions to support positive change; how to connect and love the wholeness of your Being.
In this program, you can learn skills to support your capacity to love and to Live the Will of Your Heart with empathy, attunement, passion, and compassion. Our tools include empathic listening, heartfelt sharing, bodywork, sensory awareness, authentic movement, dance, dreamwork, individual and group processing, and practicing the principles of mindfulness.
