Lama Palden Drolma
was authorized as a Buddhist lama in 1985 after completing the traditional three-year-long retreat. She has been teaching ever since. She also is a licensed psychotherapist, and believes that the spiritual path is most effective when mind, body, and psyche are integrated.

In Tibetan Buddhism, emotions are engaged with in order to experience and realize their true nature — primordial purity and wisdom, part of the five female Buddhas. Rather than ignoring, suppressing, or pushing our emotions to the side, we can turn them to the path of liberation, love, and awakening.
