Jay Ogilvy first came to Esalen in 1979 and has conceived, designed, and facilitated more Esalen invitational conferences than anyone other than co-founder Michael Murphy. Following an early career teaching philosophy at Yale and Williams College, Jay co-founded Global Business Network, a research and consulting company serving over 100 of the Fortune 500 with strategic planning based on alternative scenarios and intelligence.
In collaboration with Track Two: An Institute for Citizen Diplomacy, Jay has been active in Esalen's long tradition of citizen diplomacy with Russia and China. He is the author of nine books and over 50 articles on a wide range of topics. Jay's connections to and extraordinary breadth and depth of knowledge in many fields of human endeavor contribute greatly to Esalen's vision of expanding our efforts in creating fellowships of leaders committed to social transformation.
