In Jean Shinoda Bolen’s storytelling, myths come to life and archetypal themes resonate with our own lives. Such is the story of Atalanta: The Indomitable Spirit of Artemis. This is the title of Jean’s forthcoming book and the topic for this women-only weekend. Indomitable means untamed, unsubdued. It is the one-in-herself quality in girls and women who will not be victims, no matter what. Artemis is the goddess of the hunt and moon. She is the archetype of the sister and feminist, the Girl Scout, and the child who turns to Mother Nature and animals for strength and solace.
The ability to aim for a target and hit it is a gift of focus which leads to achieving goals. Moonlight vision sees oneness, supports mystical spirituality, and spiritual activism. These archetypal connections include those with Hecate and Hestia. The experiential elements in this
workshop include guided meditation, inner reflection, and participation in a circle with a sacred center.
