The music is new, but the practices are ancient. Expect the full Jivamukti package of tradition, music, meditation, bhakti, and challenging asana, with a taste of outrageousness. This is a workshop with a serious passion for life, nature, and love, designed to get you out of your "stuff," and back into the groove. It provides opportunities to make breakthroughs in asana practice, detox your body/heart/mind, and more deeply integrate your individual self with the greater reality. All sessions will offer an empowering blend of asana, pranayama, meditation, group exercises, chanting, and yoga philosophy to support us on our journey to living and loving our authentic self and to making a difference in this one world we all share. Because of the worldwide popularity of Jivamukti Yoga, immersions attract students from all over the world, which enables you to meet new friends from many diverse places and build stronger yoga communities locally and globally. The immersion schedule includes meditation instruction and practice; daily asana practice, including a deeper look at alignment; study of the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra; integration of the yogas of karma (service), jnana (knowledge), and bhakti (devotion); and question-and-answer sessions with faculty. Please bring a yoga mat.
