This week of Buddhist meditation will focus on practices of mindfulness and loving-kindness. We will learn how to develop a greater sense of care for ourselves and for our world through the revolutionary spiritual practices of the Buddha. Each day there will be meditation instruction in sitting and walking, and teachings on the Buddhist path of awakening. Through the practices of mindfulness and loving-kindness, we can gain deeper access to our innate ability to live with ease and freedom. This course is suitable for both beginning and long-term practitioners. All are welcome. This will be a great opportunity to learn meditation and deepen understanding of the causes of happiness.
Please note: The entire Esalen campus will be practicing noble silence, including time in and out of workshops, during meals, at the hot springs, and in the evenings. This time is intended for those who wish to practice a week of deep meditation or contemplation in silence. Normal Esalen movement classes and offerings will likely be modified during this special week.
