In this intimate week of yogic practice and retreat, you will have ample opportunity to expand and refine your practice. Each day will be a mix of strong practice in the mornings (vinyasa, standing poses, hand balancing, and backbends) and cooling practice in the afternoon (hip openers, forward bends, twists, inversions, and restorative) as well as pranayama and meditation and contemplation.
Expect clear, step-by-step instruction, progressive sequencing, stages and modifications of intermediate/advanced poses, refinements, strong work, lots of fun, and a passionate call to be your best. Noah Mazé will draw inspiration from the rich mythology and symbolism of the yoga tradition, and weave these potent teachings throughout the classes. You will enter into the realm of imagination, creativity, and mythic consciousness as you embody the teachings in grounded practice.
Bring a journal, an open mind, engaged heart, and a willingness to challenge your practice in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Learn, grow, and evolve! Committed students and teachers of yoga will learn much to incorporate into their practice and teaching, and be deeply nourished and inspired by the power of yogic practice. As prerequisites to the class, students should be able to kick up to handstand at the wall, practice headstand and shoulder stand (or modifications), and push up into Urdhva Dhanurasana (Full Wheel Backbend) with straight arms. Please bring a yoga mat.
