This program is part of our Integral Leadership Summer Series. The privilege of a lifetime is being who we are. - Joseph Campbell In order to lead ourselves and others with a sense of meaning and purpose, we first need to become closely acquainted with the calling of our authentic selves, to learn to accept and appreciate who we are, and to trust in the vision of what our individual contribution can be in the world. This requires cultural self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding and acceptance of where we and others come from. This leadership program, led by Nina Merrens, combines the principles of Intercultural Competency, Personal Leadership, and Appreciative Inquiry, and provides concrete support to students who wish to lead in an increasingly complex world and build a solid bridge of resources beyond Esalen into the future. The approach is based on proven experiential methods including simulations, emotional intelligence tools, mindfulness practices, vision work, intercultural frameworks, ancestor rituals, and deep dialogue. Esalen's Integral Leadership Program (ILP) targets college-aged and recent graduates. For more information and to apply, visit http://www.esalen.org/integralleadership.
