Victoria Chase, RN,
has been a clinical nurse and health educator for more than 35 years. She teaches in medical and community-based settings, and she integrates alternative healing methods into traditional venues. She has practiced and taught tai chi and stress management with her husband Kenn Chase since 1981.
Tai chi is the ancient art of moving meditation. Based on the integrated principles of yin and yang, tai chi is practiced in a slow, sequential manner and develops the healing aspects of chi energy, slows the central nervous system, and improves focus. Developed by Kenn Chase, Integral Way Tai Chi incorporates the fundamental principles of traditional Yang Style tai chi, and enhances the learning process with Feldenkrais™ – Awareness through Movement™, chi gong, and meditation.
Regular practice of tai chi ch’uan can have profound effects on our neuro-biology, and it produces many health benefits. Through the centuries the Chinese have utilized tai chi ch’uan as a healing art. We now have current medical research to confirm the power of tai chi as an optimal preventive as well as restorative healing technique.
