a clinical psychologist, has used mindfulness-based interventions for eating-related issues for over 25 years. She receives NIH-funding, co-founded The Center for Mindful Eating, and has held faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School, U. Mass. Medical School, and Indiana State University.
Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT), developed by Jean Kristeller, is an intervention program that addresses mindless eating, stress-related eating, disordered eating patterns, and obesity through the application of mindfulness meditation. This workshop for health care professionals provides intensive training in applying MB-EAT in a range of clinical settings.
