– Helen Keller
Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquility and happiness we all seek. ― Dalai Lama XIV
Film-viewing seminars led by Francis and Brother David have been an annual tradition at Esalen since 1990. This offering aims for a mindfulness experience of cinema: The group will view feature films in which inspiring characters embody positive psychological qualities (compassion, courage, forgiveness, gratefulness, wisdom, serenity). The intention is to renew these qualities in the lives of seminar participants.
