Whether you are a beginning poet, a returning poet, or an agile practicing poet, this weekend workshop will put you in a place of refreshed imagination. We will create new poems over the weekend, based on explorations of inner and outer nature. Our inspiration will come from the microseasons of the coastal weather, from September flora and fauna on the Esalen grounds, from poems we will study together, and from intuition exercises we will do as part of each class. Experiments with form, diction, and subject matter will be encouraged.
