This February, we welcome Starhawk into the circle of Esalen faculty to lead a workshop devoted to the practice of collaborative community building. Starhawk is one of the most respected voices in modern, earth-based spirituality. She is also well known as a global justice activist and organizer and permaculture designer whose work and writings have inspired many to action.
For her Esalen workshop, co-led with permaculture activist and educator Kat Steele, Starhawk will combine her many areas of passion and expertise to inspire and empower collaborative groups and individuals with permaculture design principles and earth-based spirituality, with a focus on organizing and activism. This work draws from Starhawk’s latest book, The Empowerment Manual: A Guide for Collaborative Groups, and the work of her Earth Activist Trainings to address the dynamic and changing needs of today’s generation of leaders, from students and community organizers to CEOs.
