• observe the highest standards of professional conduct in all client relations and business practices and keep clear agreements.
• maintain professional boundaries in all circumstances.   Members sensitively end the professional relationship if these boundaries become unclear to me.  Members consult with the Esalen Peer Review Committee if they  feel the need or if the client requests it.
• not engage in any sexual or romantic contact with my client.
• maintain high standards of personal health and hygiene.
  be free of the influence of any substance which would detrimentally affect my ability to massage.
• work within the boundaries of my training.  Members will not diagnose.  When necessary they will refer a client to another appropriate professional.
• communicate full attention, respect, consideration, and sensitivity to my client.
• be truthful and maintain confidentiality in the client/practitioner relationship.
