Practitioner Membership
A Practitioner membership, at $50 U.S. per year, entitles Esalen Massage Practitioners to advertise themselves as EMBA members. The definition of an Esalen Practitioner is someone who has successfully completed an EMBA- approved Esalen Massage certification program. Students can apply for EMBA Practitioner membership by submitting a copy of their massage certificate and completing the application form. Practitioners will be included in our international directory. In addition to receiving this directory, Practitioner members will receive a one-year subscription to the Esalen Catalog.

All certified Esalen Massage practitioners may use the Esalen name to acknowledge Esalen Massage in describing their work as practitioners.

A note on Esalen Massage Teacher status:

Many people become so inspired with Esalen Massage that it becomes natural to want to share it with others.  While we encourage enthusiasm, we must emphasize that it takes years to understand the inquiry processes and underlying values of the Esalen style before one is fully able to teach.

Only approved teachers of Esalen Massage and Bodywork may use the name Esalen in their workshop titles.  If you currently teach massage and have not taught Esalen Massage certification trainings at Esalen Institute (EMBA approved), "Esalen Massage" may not appear in the title of your trainings or workshops.
