Following is a list of offerings in subjects different from yet supportive of advanced study in Esalen Massage and bodywork. We encourage you to experience as many of our teachers as possible in order to expand your knowledge and find your passion as bodyworkers!
Arthur Munyer - Trigger Point
Trigger Point massage is the movement of myofascial tissue by
means of soft, deep contact with pressure points. These points are
actually an interrelated network which form a focus of pain and
emotional discomfort in our bodies. Through awareness and skilled
touch these points may be stimulated by applying pressure which
releases the muscle tension. Contact in Carmel, California (831)

Christine Price - Gestalt Practice
Chris Price is one of the most experienced and widely respected Gestalt practitioners currently teaching at Esalen., and her work would enrich that of anyone seriously involved in the healing professions. The kind of awareness developed within this work is fundamental to the self healing process on all levels, and therefore of particular interest to bodywork practitioners. Contact in Germany: Marion Golla (05361) 276050.
Perry Holloman - Deep Tissue Work with Somatic Integration®
This work focuses on freeing the deep connective tissues of
the body. These deeper physical structures become hard, inflexible
and lifeless as a result of the defensive armoring caused through
stress, trauma, and suppressing the capacity to feel. Learning to
guide clients through the emotional and energetic processes often
released through this work will be one of our priorities. Contact
