is the author of five books of fiction and nonfiction including Cowboys Are My Weakness and Contents May Have Shifted. She is the director of creative writing at UC Davis and lives in Colorado near the headwaters of the Rio Grande.
The desire to write rises from the urge to say something. In this generative workshop, we’ll go where the heat is and trust that impulse, locating and exploring the true and imagined stories you most urgently have to tell. Over the course of the five-day class, participants will work with each of the five faculty members, doing writing exercises, listening to lectures, and sharing work in class.
