Massage Room Esalen Institute is now offering massage at the newly opened Carmel Center. Esalen^® Massage, well-known for its long flowing strokes over the whole body, helps release the stresses of everyday life, leaving the receiver feeling whole, integrated, and deeply relaxed, in a natural state of well-being. Esalen practitioners are dedicated to connecting deeply with each client and can usually accommodate specific requests and preferences within the Esalen^® massage modality. Alternative bodywork sessions may also be available.

Pricing:

Sessions are $125.00 and last approximately one hour and 15 minutes.

Massage and or bodywork sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable, with a 24-hour cancellation policy (money goes into non-refundable credit).

1. How far are you from Monterey?

The Esalen Carmel Center is 4 miles south of Monterey just off of Hwy 1 across from the Barnyard Shopping Center.

2. What are you offering at Esalen Carmel Center?

The Carmel Center offices serve as administrative offices for our main center located in Big Sur. We are also offering Esalen-style massage and other bodywork modalities. Feel free to call our main number to see what is available. When booking your massage or bodywork session, please be sure to indicate at which location you would like to receive your session.

3. May I drop-in to book a massage?

You can pick up a catalog and book a massage for our town location or for Esalen Big Sur. You may also call 831-667-3005 to book massages for either location and workshops for our main campus in Big Sur.

4. Do you have hot springs available in town?

The hot springs are only available are at our Big Sur campus 43 miles south of Carmel. The reservation # for night baths in Big Sur is 831-667-3047. If you come for a massage to our Big Sur campus you can take advantage of the Baths one hour before and after your scheduled appointment.

5. Does Esalen Carmel Center have shower facilities or other spa facilities?

At present, we do not have showers or other spa facilities available. Please take a shower shortly before your massage and arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage or bodywork session.
