Arts Festival: Press

Members of the Media
Thank you for your interest in the 2005 Esalen Arts Festival, a seven-day celebration of the most extraordinary of human drives -- The Creative Impulse.

This year's theme, the Dreaming Universe, expresses the true purpose of this Festival - to celebrate, build, embrace and inspire audiences from near and far through the magic of cultural creativity.

This multi-cultural and family oriented affair will offer six workshops taught by famous and talented working artists in many fields, with performances by many more... including: Airto Moreira, Hannibal Lokumbe, Vernon Bush, Fabian Redrovan, John Santos with Cuarteto Dos Alas, Jackeline Rago with The Snake Trio, Alli Starr, James Sherman, Tandy Beal and Miriam Peretz.

Much more than just a waking dreamer, today's artist embodies the voice of possibility, healing the wounds that separate. They retrieve mementos from an unknown future and bear souvenirs from uncharted territories. Participants will have the opportunity to contact, awaken, and express their own unique creative passion.

Please feel free to use any of the posted documents or graphics linked here. For additional workshop information call 831-667-3000, visit www.esalen.org or send email to info@esalen.org. If you would like to schedule an interview or need background information on Esalen, please contact Megan McFeely at mmcfeely@earthlink.net or at 415-609-8707.

Again, thank you for your media coverage of this spectacular global event.

Sincerely yours,
Megan McFeely
