The Esalen Cultural Arts program is an initiative within the Esalen programs department committed to providing multicultural education, essential to harmonious relations between people in our diverse and interdependent world. The aim of this program is to create opportunities for people from diverse cultural backgrounds to gain understanding and appreciation of each other through the creative arts. Promoting cultural exchange and understanding through the arts by inviting artists from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to teach, collaborate, perform and exhibit at Esalen, the program creates experiences that enrich the quality of people's lives by offering opportunities and tools for CREATIVE EXPRESSION.

Esalen Institute, founded in 1962, is dedicated to exploring work in the humanities and sciences that furthers the full realization of the human potential. Dramatically situated on the Big Sur cliffs, Esalen is equally renowned for its transformational seminars and trainings, and its natural healing hot springs.
